On Wednesday, the 18 year old underwent a seven hour procedure to remove more than 90% of a life threatening brain tumour.
The operation was only possible thanks to an incredible campaign that raised more than $100,000 to cover the costs of the private hospital procedure.
Jackson, his family and girlfriend will be boarding the 10.10am flight from Sydney to Ballina tomorrow morning.
Once back home, Jackson will undergo chemo radiation and physiotherapy.
He was visited today by NRL star Matt King and West Tigers team members at the Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney.
