New boys in town claim top awards

IT'S not unusual to hear of local builders winning regional awards, but rarely do they win both national design and business awards in their first year.

Spanline is the exception.

Mick Loxley and Peter Pappalardo took on the existing Coffs Harbour franchise of Spanline Australia in August 2012 and last week won five national awards in the 42-business strong Spanline franchise group.

Their commitment to an exceptional level of customer service won the award for outstanding business development and improvement.

Both Peter Pappalardo and staff member Erin Williams made the top ten sales team nationwide, an honour Peter has achieved every year since joining the company as an employee ten years ago.

"While I reached number two in national sales a few years ago, fourth is fantastic to achieve at the same time as running a business," he said.

He also won highest conversion rate of sales leads and shared a commercial design award with builder Mike Neal for Attitude Burgers' new outdoor dining area at Coffs Harbour Marina.

"One of the reasons for my sales success is the large volume of repeat business and customer referrals," Mr Pappalardo said.

Local market leaders in the building of home additions such as patios, glassrooms and carports, Spanline products are backed by a nationwide 15 year warranty.

"One of the reasons people choose Spanline is because we don't have a cookie-cutter approach, instead we are able to adapt each job to become part of the house, rather than just an addition," Mick Loxley said.

"We turn up on time, have products which stand the test of time, great designs and also builders who are methodical in their approach to the Spanline construction method," Mr Pappalardo said.
