It's a family affair

The 3 Rivers Aboriginal Art Space in Magellan Street is currently hosting an exhibition by Lorraine Brown that also features some works by her mother, Kath Richardson.

The exhibition is called Famly HeART and Lorraine said she wanted to explore the connection between family, nature, land and spirituality.

Lorraine is a Gamilraay woman who grew up on the New South Wales / Queensland border and fondly remembers drawing gigantic human figures on the ground after rain. Now that her children have grown up, she has found the time to explore drawing, painting, photography and poetry.

Family HeART runs until May 26.
