It could be verse

The penultimate Live Poets show for the year will fill the Rous Hotel in Lismore with rhyme and metaphor next Wednesday night, November 18, and will feature a most diverse pair of poets – Nimbin’s Dr Len Martin, recent People’s Choice winner at the Lismore Poetry Cup, and Dunoon writer Vincent Gates, who assisted in co-ordinating poetry nights at SCU this year.

The evening will also have open and invited readings.

At the recent Lismore Show the inaugural Bigelow Prize for Poetry was won by local award-winning bush poet Max Strong, with Len Martin runner-up.

The mixed metaphors with simile sauce get served up at 8.30pm. $6/4 gets you in.
