Under the Influence

Influence, a play written by David Williamson and produced by the Lismore Theatre Company, opens at the Rochdale Theatre in Lismore this Friday April 30, at 8pm. The play explores the mentality, the politics and family circumstances of fictional radio shock jock and bully, Ziggy Blasco. The production shows how much these right-wing aggressive types need their mummies. Other show times are May 1, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15 at 8pm and there’s a matinee on May 8 at 2pm. Tickets ($20/15) are available from Kay’s Second Hand Music and Uncle Peter’s Books in Lismore (6621 8030). Or at the door.
