A 47-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with murder after the disappearance of Townsville woman Julie Hutchinson.
Police started to investigate her disappearance last Thursday after she was reported missing from a home in Condon, a Townsville suburb.
She had been missing for more than a month.
The Condon man is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with one count each of murder and interfering with a corpse.
Earlier yesterday, police officers were searching a park area at Mt Louisa.
Yesterday, Ms Hutchinson's husband had also remained in police custody after being arrested on Sunday. Police have continued their appeal for anyone who may have information about Ms Hutchinson or a silver Mazda 6 to come forward.

But late on Saturday afternoon, Detective Inspector David Nixon said, it became apparent to investigators they were dealing with a homicide.
Mrs Hutchinson's 47-year-old husband is in police custody but has not been charged.
"Unfortunately that (initial) investigation changed focus and is one where we now have a homicide investigation and believe that missing person is deceased," he said. Read more at Brisbane Times
