HUGH Jackman may have called time on the Wolverine franchise - but the Hollywood hunk still has superhero abs.

The Aussie actor was spotted looking buff as he showered at Bondi Beach.

"That's just Hugh in shape. He's not training for any particular role," a friend told The Daily Telegraph.

"He likes to keep fit but he's not Wolverine fit."

The 48-year-old is back home in Sydney for a holiday after wrapping production on The Greatest Showman.

He stars alongside Michelle Williams and Zac Efron in the movie that "celebrates the birth of show business".

He was at his strongest and fittest while filming Wolverine.

He flew into town earlier this week with actor wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, and their children, Oscar and Ava.

They will stay in Australia for a few weeks with Furness to take part in a Q & A and screening of her film Shame at a film festival next month.
