Hospital staff are helicopter saints

The Life Saver Rescue Helicopter recently thanked staff at St Vincent’s Hospital for two important milestones – it’s the 20th year since staff began taking part in the Payroll Deduction Program and they have just reached the $60,000 mark.

The Payroll Deduction Program allows staff to contribute to the helicopter’s life-saving services for less than the cost of a cup of coffee each week.

“Without local businesses and hospitals like St Vincent’s taking part in this program we would really struggle to continue funding our operations,” Life Saver Rescue Helicopter general manager Kris Beavis said. “Most people would know that we’re in the middle of the most important fundraising campaign we’ve ever launched and every dollar counts.”

Anyone who would like to make a donation to the Life Saver Rescue Helicopter can do so at any Westpac Bank, at www.helirescue.com.au, or by calling 6627 4444.
