MORE help has been announced to help primary producers get back to business after floods and storms early this year.

Attorney-General and minister for emergency management Mark Dreyfus and NSW premier Barry O'Farrell announced yesterday that grants of up to $15,000 will be provided to eligible primary producers in the Tweed.

"It is clear that primary producers in disaster affected communities in NSW are doing it extremely tough as a result of the recent floods, so this assistance will help get them back on their feet'" Mr Dreyfus said.

"The Australian and NSW governments will continue to work together to ensure that disaster affected communities can quickly recover."

Mr O'Farrell said that both levels of Government were doing all they could to help primary producers return to normality.

"This assistance is over and above the financial and practical support already being provided by the Commonwealth and NSW Governments," Mr O'Farrell said.

The grants are funded by the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements and applications can be made through the New South Wales Rural Assistance Authority by calling 1800 678 593 or visiting
