Celebrate reconciliation

Goonellabah will celebrate reconciliation at Kadina Park this Saturday, October 6, with a Family Fun Day from 10am to 3pm.

The theme is 'Let's Talk Recognition' and there'll be talks by special guests David Peachey (a former NRL Aboriginal football star), Lismore Mayor Jenny Dowell and Page MP Janelle Saffin.

"There will also be great entertainment by Bill Smith, Supafresh, Sistagurl and Dhinawan and the Deadly Dancers, as well as a jumping castle, an appearance by Mr Bumsqueak, a barbecue and a casual touch footy game," Council's youth and community development officer Lizette Twisleton said.

The program is:

10am - Welcome to Country

10.15am - Janelle Saffin

10.30am - Jenny Dowell

10.45am - Bill Smith

11.45am - Move 2 Change

12pm - Supafresh

1pm - Dave Peachey

1.15pm - SistaGurl

2.15pm - Dhinawan
