Golfer to paint over Confederate flag on real General Lee

WE know it sounds like something from The Shovel, but it's true.

Bubba Watson, a two-time winner of golf's Masters Tournament, bought the original General Lee - arguably the biggest star of TV show The Dukes of Hazzard - for $110,000 in 2012.

Writing on Twitter, Watson said:

The use of the Confederate flag has become increasingly controversial since the shooting of nine black churchgoers in Charleston in June.

One network has even stopped broadcasting reruns of the Georgia-set Dukes of Hazzard, which ended in 1985.
