Going off on a tangent

A group of third year printmaking students from SCU are holding an exhibition called ‘Chasing Tangents’ at Barratt Galleries in Alstonville.

The exhibition aims to showcase the side projects that the group have encountered during their graduation year.

By showcasing these tangents the artists can better understand where their works fit into the grand scheme of their graduation show and also in the wider contemporary art scene, so they reckon.

The aim is to validate their side projects by displaying how chasing tangents is a necessary process in aiding the development of their final Grad Show body of work.

The opening will be on Saturday, May 15, at 2pm and the gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am till 4pm.
