Get a real job at free expo

If you’re looking for a job then there’s only one place to go this Friday, March 19, and it’s not Centrelink. It’s the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre for the Keep Australia Working Centrelink Jobs Expo and you’ll also be able to enjoy the performance of country music star Troy Cassar-Daley, who’s dropping in to sing a few songs.

Paul Creedon from Centrelink said they were expecting more than 60 exhibitors and 200 jobs had been pledged. He said there were representatives from a wide range of employers including the hospitality industry, skilled labour, unskilled labour, Norco, Woolworths, the Australian Defence Force, local councils and the Rural Fire Service.

Entry is free and job-seekers are encouraged to bring a current one-page resume. The expo runs from 10am to 3pm.
