Geordie Shore stars coming to clean up club's reputation

MIEPLACE owner Aodhan McCann wants to bring more celebrity guests to town to clean up the reputation of his nightclub.

And Geordie Shore's James and Sophie are next.

The British TV stars were made famous after they appeared on the UK's version of Jersey Shore.

Gladstone resident Celina Solis has watched every season of the Geordie Shore show, and although she said Charlotte was her favourite, she would still be keen to go.

"Sophie's Charlotte's best friend and I want to be Charlotte's best friend, so that's why I like her," she said.

"I think it's awesome they're getting some big names in Gladstone, considering nothing like that is happening here anywhere else."

American rapper Bow Wow visited the nightclub last month.

"We covered the costs with Bow Wow. It was our first big international and from that I know that I can make it work," Mr McCann said.

"(But) I was disappointed with the way they ran the VIP (for Bow Wow's visit)... so that was the first thing I asked when organising for Sophie and James to come, and they said they'll (Sophie and James) jump on the mics and get everyone pumped," he said.

The well-known party pair will visit on Sunday, September 30.
