Gas tank explosion burns two men, one in critical condition

TWO men have been burnt following a gas tank explosion in Victoria on Thursday night.

One of the men is in a critical condition after a car's gas tank caught on fire at a Howitt Ave home in Geelong's Corio about 8pm.

The man in his 20s was left with burns to his face, neck, chest, arms and legs after the gas tank caught fire.

Paramedics treated him at the scene and he was flown to the The Alfred.

The other man has burns to his back and was taken to Geelong hospital in a stable condition.
