SAY 'hello' to the cheapest car to own and run in Australia.

According to Queensland's RACQ motoring club, the group has crowned the Suzuki Celerio as the most affordable car on sale based on its price and low running costs for average motorists.

In a report collaborated by the club, annual running costs found the Celerio was less than $5200 per year to own and run - less than a quarter of what people pay to keep large four-wheel-drives on the road.

Replacing the Suzuki Alto, this little people pleaser is surprisingly big on many things you can expect to find in a large car.

The Suzuki Celerio boasts many qualities including being light, agile and economical enough to be a great, quick city runabout, with modern interior design, ample storage and technology like Bluetooth and USB input.

Cute from the inside out, don't be misled by the size, Celerio boasts practicality and style like no other in its class.

Seating four adults comfortably, the cabin has been designed to maximise interior space and comfort - and there is no compromise on the boot either.

You and your passengers can enjoy ample head and legroom as well as loading up your goods in the 254 litre boot space.

For added boot capacity, Celerio's rear seats can be split folded or fully folded down for fitting those larger items inside.

In addition to the roomy boot space, you'll never go thirsty - with cup holders situated in the front, rear and rear door pockets for convenience.

You'll be amazed by the variety of storage compartments including glove box, driver-side compartment, centre lower box, front door pockets and shopping back hook in the boot for your items to stay upright during your trip home from the shops.

Throughout the cabin, Celerio is complemented by an intelligent design that puts everyone within easy reach.

Enjoy features including the likes of air conditioning, power windows,  and a Bluetooth audio system, all designed to make your drive as fun as it is easy.

Best of all the Celerio is in favour of saving you money when it comes to filling up.

The 1.0 litre petrol engine means you'll only go through 4.7L of fuel per 100km and fuel economy is further enhanced through its aerodynamic design.

The Suzuki Celerio is available in two transmissions - an automatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and a five-speed manual transmission, that will help save you fuel by minimising torque loss.
