Funny thing happened...

Jonathan Atherton (pictured) is a stand-up comedian. Funny that. He is also an actor, television presenter, voice artist, screenwriter and photographer. (He had a walk-on role in the Robin Williams blockbuster Good Morning Vietnam.)

Jonathan has a passion for diverse cultures, something that drew him away from the staid corridors of academia and into the heart of the Third World. For the last three years he's lived in Singapore and worked throughout Asia.

“I host breakfast radio in the mornings, do voice-overs in the afternoons and comedy shows at night,” Jonathan said of his current life in Asia. “I'm running The Comedy Club in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, about to open in Bali... touring India, Indonesia, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, China and Vietnam plus pursuing my passion for street photography.”

Jonathan is a busy boy but you can enjoy his comedic skills when he performs at the Courthouse Hotel in Mullumbimby next Monday, November 2, from 8pm.

Joel Salom will support.

Tickets are $20/15. To book phone 6684 3443.
