Funk master in Bangalow

Jazz-Funk keyboard virtuoso Ricky Peterson (pictured left) has a star studded resume as a producer and session player, including a number of years working with Prince. He is coming to Australia with his own band featuring his brothers Paul (bass, guitar, drums), Billy (bass) and Jason (sax/keys) as well as percussionist Sheila E.

Sheila E. (pictured right) was another luminary from Prince’s inner circle and she has also played with Herbie Hancock, George Duke, and Marvin Gaye(to name a few) as well as having a recording career in her own right.

These master musicians have come together for The Propostrophy Tour and promise to deliver a show that will appeal to fans of jazz, funk, Latin, R&B and pop music.

The tour comes to The Bangalow A&I Hall on Friday, May 21. Tickets are $40 (+BF) in advance from laingtix.oztix.com.au or $45 at the door.
