Fun Run a sporting legacy

The Darrel Chapman Fun Run was launched at Southern Cross University on Tuesday, and people are now being invited to register to take part in the event on Sunday, May 16.

The Darrel Chapman Fun Run is now in its 15th year and is held in celebration of local sporting legend Darrel Chapman, who tragically lost his battle with cancer in 1992. Darrel was a not only an avid sportsperson but was also a distinguished academic who originally headed Southern Cross University’s School of Exercise Science and Sports Management.

The Darrel Chapman Fun Run is a fundraiser for the Our Kids charity.

The Fun Run begins at 9am on Sunday, May 16. Registration is from 7am.

For more information, phone Joshua Pascoe on 6620 3166.
