From little things big Kev grew

Kev Carmody (pictured) is one of Australia's most high-profile singer/songwriters, a wordsmith who has expressed the very soul of this wide, invaded land with politically charged and socially aware lyrics. But most of all, Kev Carmody radiates caring; a compassion in his songs that lifts them above the ordinary.

Of Aboriginal and Irish heritage, both cultures famous for oral histories in song, Kev was born to be a story-teller. His best-known composition (with Paul Kelly) is From Little Things Big Things Grow, based on the story of The Gurindji Strike as part of the struggle for Indigenous land rights and reconciliation.

Kev Carmody will perform in the Cock & Bull tent at the North Coast National (Lismore Show) next Thursday, October 22, at 7.30pm.
