Frightfully good fashion show set for Friday the 13th
ALMOST upon us is Friday the 13th: a day of witches, warlocks, superstitions and horror.
So as a Friday the 13th treat, the Star Court Theatre Lismore will host a night of fun and fearsome activities: The Fashion Theatre Experience.
First up there will be the world premiere of the film The Secret World of Eliza Bloodhoney, made by local film-maker Jon Liddell in Lismore.
In Bloodhoney, Mr Liddell has paid homage to the erotic/gothic horror films of the 1960s and '70s .
Set in Victorian times, the film tells a story of the mysterious events following the arrival of one Eliza Bloodhoney at Miss Blackwood's Home for the Unfortunate.
Later in the evening, the fashion show Bedlam and Broomsticks will take the stage.
Featuring the costumes created for the movie by Honey Kindred of fashion label HoneyCut, the show will bring to life the dark gothic terror of Victorian London, from the seductive succubi of the Hellfire Club to the demented phantasmagoria of Bedlam.
Other tastefully wicked designers will be Sonia Osborn, Pol, Indigo Feitico, Helena Rousova, Alana Vallentine and William Kutana fresh from Fox TV's series four of Project Runway.
As it will be Friday the 13th, the audience-goers are encouraged to dress up and add to the mayhem.
The Fashion Theatre Experience will be on Friday night from 7.30pm at the Star Court Theatre, Lismore. The Secret World of Eliza Bloodhoney is MA15+ and is not for the faint-hearted, so don't bring the kids along.
