Fly to Sydney for only $1 but there is a catch

DISCOUNT airline Tiger Airways is offering a Boxing Day Special $1 return fare deal on some of Australia's most popular routes including Sydney to the Gold Coast.

The sale of $1 return seats for travel in February or March 2013, starts today, Boxing Day, and will run until Midnight on Tuesday, January 1 (or until sold out).

To qualify for the discounted fare, passengers will have to buy a two-way round trip for travel in February or March on any of six routes on sale.

Tiger Airways head of communications, Vanessa Regan, said, "Tiger is all about giving Australians a fair go and this week's Boxing Day sale featuring return airfares from just $1 when you buy a round trip, certainly delivers on that front.

"The best value deals are expected to be snapped up quick so jump online today to avoid disappointment," Ms Regan said.

Tiger's discounted routes are Melbourne to Sydney, Sydney to the Gold Coast, Sydney to Brisbane, Melbourne to Hobart, Sydney to Mackay and Sydney to Coffs Harbour.
