A COMBINED exhibition of five students from both Southern Cross University and Lismore TAFE campus is now in its fifth year, running as the Tandem 10 at the Space Gallery in Conway St, Lismore.

Furniture made of hand knitted soft toys and large floral prints made from paper pulp are among the mixed media works that include painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography.

The two institutions see a lot of mutual interface as graduates strengthen their skill base in various studio areas.

The opening hours of Space Gallery are from 9am to 5pm weekdays till September 13.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
