Feast of Latin dance

You can experience the rhythm, energy and passion of Latin America without travelling all that way across the Pacific (and spewing all that CO² into the atmos) by just participating in the fourth annual Byron Latin Fiesta this weekend, November 6-8. (It is, of course, in Byron.)

It’ll be a feast of Latin music and dance – three nights and two days of Latin dance workshops and parties (yay!) with local, national and international teachers.

International artists include Carlos Cinta (USA), famous for his unique Bachata style, and Alfonso Rios (Peru, NZ) renowned for his percussion and musicality.

Other artists are 2009 Australian Salsa Champions Daniel and Josie (Modus Vivendi), Latin Fire (NZ), Groove Brazil (Bris), Cuban Dance Academy (Melb), Bachateros (Syd), Picante Latin Dance (Syd) and more.

And sexy Latin band Chukale will play some hot live music. And there’ll be DJs…
