Family fun helps Our Kids

IT'S PARTY time this Saturday, October 7, when Lismore City Council and Our Kids celebrate the warmer weather and school holidays with a Family Fun Day.

It all happens at the Lismore Memorial Baths, Heritage Park, Lismore City Bowling Club and Lismore Regional Gallery from 10am-4pm.

So it's zorb balls and giant inflatables at the Baths from 10am-4pm with a barbecue lunch, face-painting and live music by Strangers Inc. It's train rides at Herirtage Park, barefoot bowls at the Bowlo from 11am-1pm and the amzing Sam Jinks: Body in Time exhibition from 10am-2pm at the Gallery.

Our Kids is a local charity raising awareness and funds to help local kids by purchasing medical equipment for Lismore Base Hospital.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
