Faith in Bexhill

THIS photo was taken at the Easter Sunday sunrise service at 6.30am at the Bexhill Open Air Cathedral overlooking the Corndale Valley.

It was submitted by Kevin Elsley from Lismore Heights: "The service was conducted by the Rev. John Thornton of the Lismore Uniting Church and was attended by about 50 people.

"While the service opened in semi-darkness, it wasn't long before the sun rose and the valley fog disappeared to give worshippers an unforgettable experience."

An Easter egg hunt, hot cross buns and refreshments followed.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
