This artwork is called Time to Awake and is an inspired piece of felting by Robin Moore. It’s part of the new axhibition at Blue Knob Hall Gallery which opens this Friday. Robin Moore is Blue Knob Hall Gallery’s living treasure, a major contributor to all of the gallery’s activities. Although Robin is perhaps best known for her felt works, she also works in paint, sculpture and multimedia. A new workshop at the gallery has been named The Moore Workshop Space.

Fabblous fibre art

The Blue Knob Hall Gallery has a new exhibition, and it’s one with a memorable name – Fibble Fabble Fibre Show II.

This exhibition of fibre art by local fibre artists features many media: cellulose, hemp, jute, flax, ramie, sisal, wood, spider, silk, sinew, catgut, wool, hair, bamboo, modal, seacell, fibreglass, optical, polymer and micro-fibre.

The exhibition curators, Polly and Myfanwy Stirling and Sachiko Kotaka, invite you to the opening of this exciting exhibition (an exhibition of ‘feel’) this Friday, April 16, at 6pm. It’ll be opened by multimedia artist and teacher Sylvia Watt.

As usual there’s an excellent dinner from the cafe to be had if you want to make a special night of it.

To book for dinner or for more info phone 6689 7449.

Fibble Fabble Fibre Show II runs till June 6.
