Eltham art fun

Lois Randall (CEO Arts Northern Rivers) will judge the winners in the Eltham Art Awards this Friday, November 6. It’s a tough job – there has been a flood of entries. Lois will announce the winners during the grand opening of the awards, which takes place at Eltham Public School this Friday from 6-8pm.

The opening will be a top night of entertainment (the kids have such talented parents) with Don Brushett playing piano and George Forgan-Smith (from the Ten Tenors) singing.

Not only is there very special entertainment, but there’ll also be champagne and canapés from the Eltham Valley Pantry.

Entry is $5, which goes to the Eltham Public School’s Cultural and Equipment Fund.

Next day at the school (Saturday, November 7, 9am-4pm) it’s the Exhibition and Bazaar – a day for families and art lovers alike with a variety of stalls and all the art to view. You can also participate in a community mural co-ordinated by artist (and scientist) Mandy Brushett.

So you don’t have to just look at art, you can do it too!
