Early birds get the Writers worm

Early Bird three-day passes for this year’s Byron Bay Writers Festival are now available.

A three-day pass includes entry to the North Beach (formerly Byron Bay Beach Resort) festival site from Friday to Sunday, August 6-8. There you can enjoy discussions, literary debates, book launches, and a ringside seat as some of Australia’s most well-known writers engage in some words.

Early bird price is $185 or $160 for students or members of the Northern Rivers Writers’ Centre. (For membership info visit www.nrwc.org.au.)

The kids’ pass entitles the little holder to participate in the kids’ marquee on Saturday, August 7, from 9.30am-3.30pm. This is an opportunity for kids between six and 16 to enjoy storytelling, activities and meet authors during book signings. Cost is $25/20.

To buy tickets now visit www.byronbaywritersfestival.com or phone 6685 6262. Early Bird ticket purchasers will receive the full festival program by post following its release on June 4.
