Drug stash found after police search

A MAN has been charged after a search warrant in Grafton allegedly uncovered cannabis.

About 10pm yesterday, police attached to Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command acted on information received and executed a search warrant at a house on George Street, Grafton.

Inside the home police allegedly located 31 cannabis plants of varying sizes, as well as an amount of powder believed to be amphetamine.

The 33-year-old man who resides at the home was subsequently charged with cultivate prohibited plant, and possess prohibited drug.

He is expected to appear at Grafton Local Court on March 19, 2013.
