Drawing on life

Drawing on life

The Serpentine Community Gallery Life Drawing Group has survived its first year despite floods and the unpredictable weather. (It’s hard to draw goosebumps.)

Artists and models have squeezed themselves into the gallery (in North Lismore) on Tuesday nights, producing drawings in all different styles. But the group has grown and there’s a waiting list to attend. So, the group now meets on Saturday mornings, 10.30am-1pm, as well as Tuesday evenings, 6.30-9pm. (And they’re always looking for new models of any age, shape or gender. There’s a few bucks in it too.)

Cost is $10/8. Bookings are essential, so text Clare on 0421 443 751.

Storytelling day at the gallery

To mark World Storytelling Day this Saturday, March 20, Lismore Regional Gallery is hosting a free storytelling event for families with local storyteller Jenni Cargill-Strong.

The first story session runs from 10.30-11am, and the second from 12.30-1pm.

There is no cost. Just turn up and engage in one of humanity’s oldest art forms and experience the joy of storytelling.
