Downstairs at the bowlo

The Downstairs Mix-Up Band (pictured) will play the Lismore City Bowlo next Tuesday, March 30.

This band of young guys ’n gals sounds a bit like 70s acts Steely Dan and Frank Zappa. That sound is a bit of a salad – funky grooves tossed over a stack of blues with a squeeze of rock ‘n roll.

The Downstairs Mix-Up Band is kicking musical goals having just won the National Bank Comp and released their debut EP.

The band features the talents of Harry Nichols (guitar, vocals), Sarah and Emma Davison (vocals), Owen Hogan (sax), Mark Hoare (guitar), Jimmy T (keys), Luke Davies (bass) and Shay Carter (drums).

The good times start at 8pm and $10/7 gets you in.
