Dirt bike rider evades police by going off-road

POLICE are investigating an incident in which a man riding a dirt bike evaded them by riding into bushland.

The incident occurred about 2.40pm on Sunday on Philps Rd, Grantham.

The rider was not wearing a helmet and the motorbike - an orange dirt bike - had no registration plates.

Police attempted to pull over the rider, but he evaded police by accelerating and going off road into bushland.
