Dig the new logo Abbey!

When 11-year-old Abbey Shepherdson decided to enter the Lismore Community Garden’s competition for a new logo the first thing she thought about was the two palm trees behind the garden.

“I also wanted to put a rainbow in to represent all the people who garden here and who share a part of the garden,” Abbey, who is in Year 6 at St Carthage’s, said.

Linda Wirf from the Community Garden said Abbey’s winning design would now be given to a graphic designer to come up with three or four options to make it into a logo. Abbey received a gift voucher to Premier Art & Picture framing in Magellan Street.

“I love getting down and dirty in the garden and I love watching plants grow,” Abbey said.
