Dance scene fires up

The Tatts Hotel in Lismore is the place to be for some hot dance and DJ action every Friday night, according to a local collective of DJs, sound engineers and lighting technicians who have created this gig to keep the Lismore scene alive and pumping.

The gig is called Welcome To Our Planet and will use both the front and back rooms at the Tatts.

So, this Friday, February 19, the front room will feature Deep Fryer and DJ Mud playing funky hip hop and breaks while in the back room, Donkihoof and Grit will bring some techy, minimal vibes and M_Phonic will add some bass weight to the evening with his dubstep spinnings.

(M_Phonic recently played at Peats Ridge Festival, has a radio gig on 2NCR/River FM every Wednesday night from 10-12pm, and was largely responsible for the Friday Underground at the late, great Winsome Hotel.)

The front room is free and the back room will cost ya $5.

The moves and grooves start at 8pm and go till 2am.
