Dallas airs in Kyogle
Funky Roxy Gallery in Kyogle is officially opening its first exhibition for the year this Friday, January 22.
The exhibition is called Eclecticism and is the first solo showing from Dallas Franklin.
Why Eclecticism? Because Dallas reckons his art technique comes from ‘selecting from each school of thought – not exclusive in opinion or taste’.
As well as working in oil paints, Dallas also uses air-brushing, water colours, pen and ink, and marquetry (inlaid picture in wood slivers). Dallas is not confined to canvas either. He has painted on wood, paper, card, metal, horse floats, a motorcycle and a car.
The official opening is this Friday, January 22, from 6-8pm. You can meet Dallas and enjoy a glass of wine.
Eclecticism runs till February 13.
