ABOUT 40 CSG opponents rallied at the latest blockade site near Eden Creek State Forest at 6.30am to disrupt drilling activities by Metgasco.

Ian Gaillard from protest group Keerrong Gas Squad confirmed that protestors left the site yesterday before 6pm and re-grouped again this morning at Booths Rd, Doubtful Creek.

"We heard that police were here earlier and that they may have gone down to where the drilling pad is being built, but I am still waiting for confirmation," Mr Gaillard said.

Mr Gaillard said he expected even more people to arrive to the site today, 30km west of Kyogle.

"I will be leaving at midday to go to work, same as others will, and more people will come to keep the blockade going during the day," he said.

A text message alerted the Northern Rivers anti-CSG network about the Doubtful Creek blockade this morning.

"Be calm and respectful, determined and resilient. Remember this is part of a long campaign," the communication read.

Metgasco confirmed yesterday that their workers and contractors were unable to enter the site yesterday due to the blockade.

There are currently two police cars and several police officers on-site monitoring the situation, though there are unconfirmed reports that three more paddy wagons, Police Rescue and the Dog Squad have been dispatched and are currently enroute to the blockade.

Local landowner Dean Draper said protestors had let a contractor's truck leave the site this morning after an amicable discussion with the driver.
