Crime scene established after pair fall from cliff

A ROCK climber is in a critical condition and her partner has undergone surgery after the pair fell from a 35m cliff in the NSW Blue Mountains.

Police say the 32-year-old woman appeared to have been pulled from her position on the cliff face before she fell 12m to the ground and sustained numerous fractures, head and internal injuries.

Her 31-year-old partner also suffered several fractures.

A crime scene has been established and the cliff is being examined by forensic officers.
