A PARTY of SES and other crews searched a rural area in Parkhurst on Saturday morning for missing Rockhampton woman Chantal Barnett.

The search got underway in Boundary Rd, not far from the Rockhampton Heritage Village, a police media spokesman yesterday confirmed.

It was not known yesterday what had been found or what led to the search in that area.

CIB boss Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Moon was today expected to further update the media about the search.

The search comes three weeks after the funeral of murder victim Robert Martinez, who was laid to rest on March 22.

Chantal has been missing for more than two years now.

She was last seen in early March, 2013.

If you have any information that could help police call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Police Link on 131 444.
