I'VE Been Everywhere songwriter Geoff Mack will be honoured at this month's Country Music Awards of Australia.
The outback tent show veteran, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, will be given a Lifetime Achievement Golden Guitar Award.
The 41st annual awards, which will be held on January 26 as part of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, will also pay tribute to late singer Jimmy Little.
Taking over the reins of the 2013 award show are executive producers Ean Thorley and Nik Goldsworthy, whose creative credits include Sydney New Year's Eve, the ASTRA Awards, YouTube Symphony Orchestra, World Youth Day and MTV Australia's Video Music Awards.
"This is such an important Australian music and cultural event, and we plan to put on one hell of a show," said Goldsworthy.
The new-look awards will feature performances by Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson, Troy Cassar-Daley, Catherine Britt, John Williamson, McAlister Kemp and Chelsea Basham, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for the 2013 Country Music Awards are now on sale through Destination Tamworth.
