Colourful cafe has the edge

The Espresso Edge café in Kyogle has scooped the pools by winning two Kyogle Tidy Town awards for the best business display promoting the Kyogle Centenary Show.

The cafe's colourful window display won both the official Judges' Award and the new People's Choice Award.

Helen Perry, owner of Espresso Edge, said her family had been involved in the show for many years.

“I think the show's important for the community,” Ms Perry said. “My mum and children helped me decorate the window.

“My family has heavy horses and show day to us means harnesses, boots and saddles, so we used the saddles and brass harnesses in our window display. City people need to see what country people have got to offer.”

Two plaques, designed and donated by Mr John Adams, will be displayed in the cafe for the next 12 months.
