Closing date extended for Outback entries

The closing date for pre-selected entries in the John Villiers Waltzing Matilda Outback Art Show has been extended till March 15 to assist artists affected by recent natural disasters across the country.

The extension hopes to accommodate artists who wish to enter the competition, but whose work has been disrupted by floods or bushfires.

Art works are expected from all states and territories, with artists based in city, country and bush regions taking on the annual show's challenge of capturing the true character of the Australian outback. The theme of the 2013 competition is 'Outback Legends, Outback Landscapes'. For more info contact the gallery on 07 4657 1466 or Curator@matildacentre.com.au.
