Clocks and Dice play the Platinum Lounge at the Lismore Worker's Club next Tuesday, March 5. With Ben Jenkins taking on keys/vocals, Mikel Johnson on guitar/vocals, Garrett Salter blowing trumpet, Shaun Alexander holding down the bass and Jake Dominey on drums, check 'em out gratis, from 7.30pm.

The Tatts, Lismore, sees the return of the Fine Jazz Organisers this Thursday, February 28. Ideally situated for an evening of cool music for recovery from our sultry weather, the FJO are Judd Brenand singing, Ben Roger on guitar, drummer Mike Bullen and Pietro Fine on the Hammond, from 7pm.

Blues terrorists the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion play the Great Northern, Byron, on Friday, March 8. Masters of explosive postmodern rock'n'roll schtick, they are still, against all odds, number one. Tickets are $44 from oztix.com.au.

Ukulele maestro James Hill reckons the instrument has more depth than its popular image might suggest. To prove it, he plays the Mullum Ex-Services Club this Sunday, March 3, from 8pm with cellist Anne Janelle. He's conducting a workshop there from 3pm. Tickets are $20 or $35 for workshop and concert.
