Classical classics on the ivories

Australian pianist Daniel de Borah spends his time in Australia and the UK. And in a plane beween the two...

In these two countries Daniel is in demand as a recitalist and concerto soloist.

Born in Melbourne in 1981, Daniel studied at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, the St Petersburg State Conservatoire, and with Tatyana Sarkissova at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2007 he won the piano section of the Royal Overseas League Competition in London. Daniel has performed throughout the UK, Australia, Russia and Europe playing all the grand venues.

That fabulous group of music aficionados dedicated to bringing fine music to the North Coast, Musica Viva Lismore, will present Daniel de Borah performing Mozart, Chopin and Schuman on the Steinway piano at the Byron Community Centre on Friday, April 23, from 7.30pm.

Tickets are $30/25/15 and available from Byron Community Centre, La Boutique in Ballina, Duck Creek Emporium in Alstonville Plaza, and Lismore Music in Magellan St, Lismore.
