THESE are some of the frightening images captured during a violent armed robbery at the South Grafton Ex-Servicemen’s Club in December last year.

The images, together with CCTV footage, were released by the NSW Police’s robbery and serious crime squad yesterday and show three armed men approaching two female musicians after finishing their gig about 11.55pm on December 4.

Police said all three men were reported to have been wearing balaclavas at the time, one armed with a rifle and the other two were armed with knives.

“Three males and two females inside the club were threatened at gunpoint and forced to lie on the ground, while a female staff member had a knife held to her throat,” a spokesman said.

“Another female staff member was grabbed around the neck, threatened with a knife and forced into the cash room, before the men stole a sum of cash and fled the scene.

“No patrons were inside the premises at the time of the incident.”

Police said yesterday that following investigations, a stolen blue Holden Commodore station wagon was located on McGurren Street in South Grafton on December 5.

Detectives said the CCTV footage released yesterday contained images of three men they believe may be able to assist with investigations.

Strike Force Allfield comprises detectives from the State Crime Command’s robbery and serious crime squad and was established in January 2010 to investigate a series of violent armed robberies in the Coffs/Clarence and Mid North Coast areas.

Anyone with information about the men depicted in the CCTV images, or with information about the robbery, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
