Celebrating works at Nimbin Rocks

Ngulingah Land Council is holding a community open day to showcase the work that has been undertaken at Nimbin Rocks.

Eight people have been employed full time at the rocks for the past 12 months, with training and mentoring being run by EnvITE.

The nursery has been completed with extensive seed collection and propagation and there has been a lot of weed eradication in the area.

“This is an invitation for people to come and see first hand what is happening with the Nimbin Rocks Working on Country project,” project officer Tracey King said. “It’s a site of high biodiversity and cultural values...The community day will provide you with an opportunity to meet the rangers and get a tour of some of the work sites.”

The open day is on Wednesday, April 14, from 11am to 3pm and will include a free barbeque.

Please RSVP on 6621 5541 or email tracey.king@ngulingah.org.au.
