FOR three years award-winning choreographer Shaun Parker has been working with school students in western Sydney on an original work titled The Yard, which draws on their cultural performance traditions. Following its successful premiere last year, Shaun Parker and company took The Yard on a tour of NSW and will perform at Lismore City Hall on September 3.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
