Casino is a battlezone

Leading hip hop choreographer Traverse Ross (pictured) will run a hip hop workshop as part of Crankfest Battlezone at the Casino Pool this Saturday, December 19, from 11am to 5pm. Traverse’s workshop runs from 11am to 12pm. (Traverse is from the So U Think U Can Dance group.)

Then the afternoon will be a mix of hip hop dance and break battles, MC battles and youth showcases with crews expected from the Clarence to the Tweed.

There’ll also be screenings of short films and digital stories created by young people across the region.

The cost is just the pool entry, $2.50, and there’ll be food onsite.

Bring your swimmers.

Crankfest Battlezone is organised by Richmond Valley Council and Casino Youth Services and supported by the Creative Peoples Collective, Youth Connections, Beyond Empathy, Out of the Blue and INTRA Youth Service.
