Carrie-on to fight cancer

Lismore will be tickled pink tonight, Thursday, June 3 as the highly anticipated Sex and the City 2 movie screens at the Lismore Birch Carroll & Coyle cinema to raise funds in the fight for cancer.

The movie screens at 6pm and all proceeds will go to the NSW Cancer Council Far North Coast to fund research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Event tickets are $30 each and include the movie ticket, champagne on arrival, gift bag, and some fabulous prizes for women who epitomise the stars. There will be ‘The Carrie Award’, the ‘Manolo Blahnik Award’ for best shoes and the ‘Mr Big Award’ for the most dashing male of the evening. To purchase tickets, contact Cake Marketing on 6624 7707 or visit www.cake

marketing.com.au.

Local business woman, Katie O’Rourke from Cake Marketing, has organised the event as a tribute to two of her friends who died from cancer and who had loved the Sex and the City television series.

The evening gives women a chance to gather with their girlfriends, mothers and sisters and celebrate friendship while at the same time raising money to help make a difference to the lives of those who are affected by cancer.
