A vehicle collided with an adult and three children who were crossing Wildey St, near Raceview State School, about 3.15pm.

Police confirmed on Tuesday that a 37-year-old female sustained a serious leg injury in the incident, suspected to have been a fractured femur.

A child sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

Raceview State School issued a statement on its Facebook page last night advising of the crash and offering support to children who witnessed it.

"We wish to advise you that an adult was injured at the intersection of Cascade and Wildey Streets after school this afternoon. The Police and Ambulance service attended. There may have been students and family members from our school that witnessed this incident. The school will make support services available tomorrow to any members of the school community that require counselling. Please call us if you wish to access this service. Our thoughts are with the family involved."
